Our unique approach to money management is based on envelope budgeting, where cash is allocated to different spending envelopes before it’s spent. When you need make a purchase, you simply take the money from the appropriate envelope (say, groceries) and spend based on what you have available. When the money is a given envelope is gone, you’re done spending in that category until you receive more money. Finicity is a modern, online version of envelope budgeting, linked to your financial institutions (checking, savings, credit cards, etc.), so you always know how much you have available to spend in all your “virtual” envelopes, anytime, anywhere.
